Abstract: June 2000. The finnish composer Kaija Saariaho is about to participate to the premiere of her first opera, L'amour de loin, at the Salzburg Festival, on the stage of the Felsenreitschule. During two years of solitary work, she devoted all her time to the wring of the opera, in project since 1992. She is about to see the birth of this work dreamt for so long, together with her numerous artistic collaborators and her interpreters. Anne Grange and Serge Steyer have accompanied Kaija Saariaho in this human and artistic experience.

Résumé : Juin 2000. La compositrice finlandaise Kaija Saariaho s'apprête à participer à la création de son premier opéra, L'amour de loin, au festival de Salzbourg, sur la scène de la Felsenreitschule. Durant deux années de travail solitaire, elle a consacré tout son temps à l'écriture de l'opéra, en gestation depuis 1992. Il s'agit de voir enfin naître cette œuvre si longtemps rêvée, en compagnie de ses nombreux collaborateurs artistiques et de ses interprètes. Anne Grange et Serge Steyer ont accompagné Kajia Saariaho dans cette aventure humaine et artistique.
