Johannes Brahms's String Quintet f-minor op. 34
in Anssi Karttunen's new reconstruction
Anssi Karttunen has made a new transcription of Johannes Brahms's Piano Quintet op.34 for String Quintet.
As is well known, this is the ensemble for which Brahms originally wrote the piece.
For unknown reasons he later destroyed the original version
after transcribing it first for two pianos and finally for a Piano Quintet.
